What it is

tinh turns quick, messy notes about your day into a structured personal database. Say or type "coffee and two eggs at 7, gym at noon" and tinh files the food and the workout as separate entries with times attached. Over weeks, it starts showing you patterns: which habits show up before your good days, and which show up before your bad ones.

Privacy

✈ works in airplane mode

Everything happens on the device. There is no account, no cloud, and no gen AI. The language processing is a local NLP/ML stack, deterministic parsers plus small on-device models, built specifically for this app. Entries never leave your phone or Mac, and the app works in airplane mode. Optional device-to-device sync moves data directly over your local network, not through a server.

The story

tinh started over two and a half years ago as a project to categorize journal entries with local LLMs. The pre-filters written to clean up the model's input kept growing until they worked better than the model, so the model was removed. That filter stack evolved into what ships today: a real-time, deterministic NLP pipeline with its own evaluation infrastructure. It is also why the privacy claim holds: there is nothing to send anywhere.
